Legal ruling validates late approved subdivision assessments

State attorney general says millal rules on recorded plats not approved by county commissioners before 1946 are legal and enforceable. The issue arose from a subdivision east of the city where plats were initially rejected in 1945 but approved after January 4, 1946. Purchasers based 1946 assessments on the plat, and the AG cited the constitution statutes and court decisions. Dickison sought the opinion to avoid duplicated work in the assessor’s office.
