Britain protests Soviet funding during general strike
Britain issued two notes to Moscow condemning Soviet money offered to Britain during the nine day general strike. The first note alleges funds to Trades Union Congress aimed to influence Britain's government and cites proof the money came from the Soviet government. A second note concerns funds to the British Miners Federation being considered by the cabinet. The Trades Union Congress reportedly declined funds then passed some to miners who accepted the help.
