Bible Pageant at St Marks Friday

Members of the West Texas Episcopal diocese summer conference directed by Miss Hilda Molesworth present a pageant Scenes From the Life of Christ at 7 30 p m Friday in St Marks educational building. The cast includes Eloise Johnson Irene Batley Ellen Camilel Mildred Golemen Jessie Bierkower and others with Bishop W T Capers and several clergy. Ben G Glaze heads the musical program with pieces by Edmund Ludwig Bing and a quartet. Mrs A H Blotz oversees costumes.

Highway Cutoff Work Continues in Palo Pinto

Palo Pinto Texas June 10 Preparations progressed for the Bankhead highway cutoff from Weatherford to two point three miles south of Strawn. District Judge Sam Ruesel denied a requested injunction against construction. The suit, filed by Palo Pinto county road district No 1 residents, argued the cutoff would divert traffic from the existing Bankhead highway.
