Houston Boys Held After San Antonio Stopover
Three Houston youths ages 12 to 14 were found sleeping in a box car near El Paso street in San Antonio and cooking with a charcoal burner. They said they came to the city as work prospects were better here after leaving Houston. They reported pulling feathers from chickens for a local meat dealer at six cents per bird. They are being held by chief probation officer Edward Mubri pending further steps.
