Arched Bridges and Japanese Tea Garden Rise in San Antonio Quarry
A neglected quarry northwest of Brackenridge Park in San Antonio is being transformed into a Japanese garden with an arched bridge system linking a central island to the shore. Rays Lambert led the effort funded by private donors and local firms, planning a three-tier tea garden, lily ponds, and a tropical landscape, with ongoing additions including a restaurant on the old cement factory site.
