Dallas on June 9 reports Lone Star Gas Co borrowed 85 million dollars to finance an 81.4 million five year expansion program and to retire a debt. Twelve institutions lent, Prudential Life Insurance led with 65 million, the rest from three Fort Worth banks five Dallas banks and three more in Pittsburgh. The Republic National Bank boardroom hosted the closing, described as the largest Texas bank transaction.
