Unity Farmer Murders Attempt to Find Doctor
Clarence Whitehead a 50 year old Unity farmer was found Thursday night with a knife wound near the heart wandering East Commerce street seeking medical help. He said a Black or Mexican assailant stabbed him and robbed him of eight dollars before he reached Walnut street. Dr. Elmendorf treated the wound as not dangerous.

Atchison Kansas June 9 Mrs Tillie McGowan a temperance advocate used a rifle and her firm arm to disrupt a beer fueled picnic. She struck a man with a stone after being urged to drink and pursued another into the Missouri River firing a shot that hit nothing. The assailant swam ashore to apologize as the rest fled.

Boy Dead After Mule Dragging On Farm
