Protests Over Fuel Oil Price Rise Reach Officials
Strenuous protests were sent to Mark L. Requa and Willey Blair over a recent price increase by large oil firms. The Industrial Fuel Users' Committee of Southwest Texas received a notice from a major local oil user charged 2.15 dollars per barrel. The group argues oil handling costs do not justify higher prices as Tampico oil is delivered to Aransas port. A fuel census directed by C. C. Leel is near completion for submission to the administration.
