City Council approves water rate rise amid debate over broad policy
The City Council, after a lengthy session, approved a water rate increase of about 1 percent to become effective June 13. Three customer classes will be created commercial residential and wholesale with varied impacts. The plan funds 15 million in CWB bonds including 5 million for main replacements and 1 million for the Community Water Development Fund CWDF drawn into a political wrangle with COPS and builders groups.
