Cancer Cure Approach Reported By Columbia Team
AP reports at the American Urological Association meeting that a Columbia University team led by Dr Myron Tannenbaum and Dr John K Lattimer disclosed two findings suggesting cancers may start from virus-like particles. They observed virus like particles adjacent to cancer cells and propose growing them in tissue culture to test vaccine avenues, aiming toward an anticancer vaccine.

Lockheed's minority hiring program expands job reach
Lockheed engineers a federal plan for progress by sending recruiters to minority communities within twenty miles of plants. They leave job lists with ministers and urban leagues, inviting schools and counselors to promote openings. The aim is to raise minority representation, with 6,500 of 84,000 employees now from minority groups and a rising share in managerial roles.
