About 600 aliens enlisted or drafted into U S military service were admitted to citizenship Saturday at a Federal Court session in Camp Travis for the Western District of Texas. A American soldier serving as pallbearer at a funeral near the Picardy front discovers his brother Joseph Ash among the dead. The brothers, in different companies, had met only the day before. Joseph was mortally wounded and died as his brother witnessed the service. The chaplain comforted the surviving brother, saying all are brothers. The scene occurred as wood choppers assisted at the burial amid war's somber toll.
