Mountbatten Standout in Realm of Military Pomp
Profile of Lord Louis Mountbatten arriving in London on a flying visit after a Potsdam report. The 45 year old supreme commander in SE Asia blends brisk modern slang with royal pomp, directs vast forces near Singapore and Borneo, and has a long naval career from midshipman to admiral. He pioneered invasion tech, wrote naval texts, and earned multiple honorary ranks while steering operations in a high pressure war theater.
