Traction firm eyes sale of fair grounds amid city delay

The Traction company says its money is tied up and if the city or a civic group does not assume the fair grounds within months it will sell the property to the highest bidder. The site could be broken into blocks, ending the city’s only available exposition venue. The firm seeks to sell at cost to the city or a community body, otherwise proceeds will favor the market. Eighty acres lie near the city and plans tie to street improvements funded by a bond issue.
