Birth of Rotary and its fusion of ethics and service

Fred H. Sexton of Nova Scotia traces the evolution leading to Rotary’s birth from a demand for ethical reform in business. He argues material progress outpaced moral development, prompting leaders to seek a service oriented, human centered philosophy. Rotary rises as a living creed, adaptable beyond rigid doctrine, inviting continual expansion toward a higher plane of civic effort.
