Redfish Surprises Fort Aransas Anglers With Abundant Catch

Fishermen near Port Aransas report strong redfish runs in bay waters, with one Nelson brother hauling as many as fifty redfish at about five pounds each. Biologists warn redfish may struggle as a fishery long term, yet coastal bays including Port Mansfield and Port O’Connor see similar luck. The weekend weather at Port A was ideal and there were no complaints, while sailfish and marlin moves were not as notable.
