Registrar Says Credits At Texas U Remain Valid Despite Suspension
Registrar FE J Mathews stated that Southern Association probation does not invalidate credits earned at the University of Texas. He noted associations set standards, not grant admission credits, and that many institutions accept probationary credits if quality meets requirements. He cited UT’s history of accepting transfer work from probationary institutions and said preliminary grounds appear administrative, not a condemnation of UT’s education.
