Sheriff Tobin Cleared as Evidence Falls Short
Judge J L Camp ruled evidence insufficient to sustain embezzlement charges against Sheriff Tobin and discharged him. The hearing showed Tobin had kept bond money until May 16 1912 and testified he sought guidance from local officials before deciding its disposition. The false swearing charges were also dropped with the state noting lack of evidence. A remaining misdemeanor report-failure case to be argued later.
