Fatality Sites Targeted in San Antonio Traffic Crackdown
San Antonio police plan a selective enforcement program this week aimed at accident zones with five high risk intersections. Patrols and radar and motorcycle units will be deployed as officers are retrained to spot hazardous driving. Through July 13 this year there were 59 traffic fatalities, up from 55 in the prior year, with officials hoping the program lowers injuries and fatal crash totals.
