Texas bankers backplan to market distress cotton at six percent
Fort Worth July 13 President B B Cain of the Commercial Secretaries and Business Men's association reports strong banker support for lending on distress cotton at 6 percent. Large Texas banks signaled willingness to finance the plan, with many cotton districts agreeing to cooperate. Cain cites a $40 million target to handle the distress cotton and notes farmers profit if they own the crop under the plan.
