Texas Demo Rift Widened By Sanderford
AUBIN July 10 The Texas Democratic rift widened as Roy Sanderford, permanent chairman of the state convention, said no compromise would bind electors to the national nominating ticket until Chicago's convention restores the two thirds rule and adopts a platform plank on the Supreme Court negro vote decision. The pro Hoosewelt faction formed its own delegation pledged to back the president. Sanderford claimed Secretary of Commerce Jesse Jonas was in error for blocking voters from choosing a president.
