Rocksprings reminiscence and old West dances memory
An extended reminiscence by Harry Williams recounts Rocksprings era events, social dances, and a courthouse tale. It mentions old outfits like California plaid trousers, a Len Clerk reference, and discussions of community figures including Congressman John N. Garner, tying to a high-ends ranch sale at the Larkin West place near the Frio and Nueces rivers. The column also reflects on feuds, widowhood, and the winds of time, ending with warnings about highway scams and cigarette scams.
