Death of Murdoch Murchinson Ends in Self Destruction
Claud Murchinson a 58 year old wealthy Reata manufacturer from Cashutla Mexico was found dead outside Porter Loring Funeral Parlor at 3 am. A bullet pierced his heart and a second through the temple. Letters in his clothing directed cremation and scattering ashes to the four winds. A justice of the peace ruled death by self action. He had carried a life marked by sorrow over a son’s death and had recently traveled with his daughter Felda Murchison. He previously lived in Royston and ran a wax factory in Coahuila. He visited relatives in Texas and stayed at the Gunter hotel prior to his death.
