Senate military affairs hearings probe Roosevelt secret agreement to supply France with American warplanes. Additional routes include Mishway in Angelin county and a surface road direction near Venustiano Carranza with a proposed legal advisor for the Mexican consul, per officials.
Cloudy Sunday with moderate southeast winds and near eighty degrees in San Antonio area. Elsewhere Texas reports cloudy conditions with occasional rain in eastern portions and cooler in the northwest, coastal winds turning strong southeast to south. West Texas partly cloudy and colder in north and west. Extended outlook through Feb 4 calls for generally fair southern plains and West Gulf with possible rain midweek and below normal temperatures. Data include wind speeds 12 mph south, humidity around 84 percent at 6:30 pm, precipitation since Jan 4 about 0.88 inch, total since Jan 1 about 2.08 inches.
In a political maneuver Representatives Dits and Denocratia pocatens reached a plan to extend the committee’s work for one year with $100,000 in expenses. A rival proposal from Dies urged a two year extension and $150,000, aiming to prolong the inquiry under the special House Committee.
