UF to Elect Officers for United Fund Campaign
The United Fund of San Antonio and Hexar County will celebrate its successful 107 million dollar campaign and elect new officers and directors at its annual meeting Tuesday at the Menger Hotel. Attorneys Richard E. Goldsmith and others will be elected to serve immediately as officers and directors. The 1970 campaign audit shows 33,08500 in cash and pledges raised, about 101.4 percent of goal, compared with last year’s 2,722,764. Donald W. Garrett will be elected president for 1970 and the board will include four vice presidents one of whom will be president elect, treasurer and secretary. Three people will be elected to the Grindit directors for three-year terms. The advisory board also elected Tuesday includes past presidents and founding members. Garrett will report total overhead expenses for 1968–70 at 7.06 percent of the funds raised.
