Court Upholds Guessaz Will In Texas Ruling
The Fourth Court of Civil Appeals upheld Judge Tayloe’s May ruling that Mrs. C. C. Guessaz’s will was valid and not made under undue influence. The will left most of the estate to Louis Guessaz and Mrs. Lillian Guessaz Birkhead, wife of Maj. Gen. Glaude V. Birkhead, despite challenges from Guessaz relatives in Kansas City. The appeal notes three earlier wills from 1928, 1932, and 1935 with similar dispositions favoring Mrs. Birkhead. The Burnet county FF A chapter announced a stock show at Marble Falls on February 3 with prize animals to Houston Feb. 4-11.
