Bull Attack Awards $9000 in Damages to Zunigas
A Seventy third District court jury awarded Gregorio Zuniga and his wife Eduvires $9000 for injuries from a Brahma bull attack on July 28 1944. Defendants W D Storey and T Bracks Wood operated a rodeo at a Mulberry Avenue River Drive venue and allegedly let the bull escape a chute. The Zunigas, visiting at 448 Terry, were in a front yard when the bull struck. they had sought $15,000. The verdict followed seven days of activity and eight hours of deliberation after the case was submitted at 3 p.m. Monday.
