Weather In San Antonio Sees Wind Shift Clears Skies
Shifting winds wiped out the threat of freezing rain and light snow for San Antonio and most of Texas by Saturday night. Brownsville still saw rain with a drop to 26 degrees overnight, while daylight temperatures rose to 45 to 50. The cold wave cut fruit and vegetable supplies, with cabbage and beets mostly spared though other produce suffered. Citrus in the Rio Grande Valley appeared saved from severe damage, and overall losses in Bexar County reached about 30,000 dollars with some livestock and grain casualties reported.
