Concrete construction near completion on the immense eight story Fort Sam Houston hospital under the supervision of engineer contractor R B McGee. The structure spans 437 feet across the front with a rear depth of 180 feet and includes a center eight story section with three eight story wings. The hospital sits in the Argonne area at Fort Sam Houston near Arthur MacArthur Field and will be visible for miles as brick work plastering and plumbing proceed. Approximately 120 new yards of paving exist on the hospital approach and more will be added as interior work progresses.
