Trinity basketball star pleads not guilty in narcotics case
Arnold James Neal, 21, a Trinity University basketball letterman, pleads not guilty on four federal narcotics counts alongside three Trinity classmates. Charged with conspiracy, smuggling, marijuana transport, and tax offences, the group followed the seizure of over 40 pounds of marijuana in Laredo. The case, linked to a broader Philadelphia group, includes pleas from Bradford and Warrick and sentences for younger co-defendants. Judge Connally considers postponement while noting Neal’s team status and imminent March activities.
