Uniform contract to be adopted by major and minor leagues
Cincinnati Ohio January 11 The national baseball commission reversed a national board ruling and said at its Chicago meeting next Thursday it will advocate uniform contracts for both major and minor leagues. The case involved Manning whose salary claim against York Pennsylvania Tri state League club covered June 1 to season end. Manning was injured in a title game and suspended for disability after hospital release. The contract limited payment to one month after hospital release, prompting free agency unless the club pays within ten days. Uniform contracts would remove this issue.
