Finnish Victory Report Brings Net Loss To Russians Near Ladoga
Finnish forces say they repelled a full Russian advance north of Lake Ladoga, surrounding a Russian division at Hunkamma after driving two divisions back across the border. The Kukkammo action smashed remnants of the Forty-fourth and One Hundred Sixty-third divisions, with the Forty-fourth blamed for heavy losses. Finnish troops established border posts along a 30 mile stretch, while vast quantities of abandoned Russian equipment and vehicles dotted the roads.
