Senators Rate Perfect On Consumer Issues Says CFA
The Consumer Federation of America reports 13 senators had a perfect voting record on seven consumer issues last year while one, Marlow W. Cook, voted against every time. The list includes only one potential presidential candidate, Edward M. Kennedy. CFA notes among Democrats voting perfect were Kennedy Tunney Church Hart Mondale Eagleton McIntyre Williams Montoya Javits Praximo Nelson. House results show 42 Democrats and 4 Republicans perfect. others voted wrong on all eight. The CFA is a coalition of labor unions, public agencies, and consumer groups.
