Louis LaBeaume of St Louis leads the American Institute of Architects push for repeal or reform of the Treasury supervising architect office. He argues federal design by government bureaus is costly and inflexible, harming economy, ethics, and private initiative. Poultry Leader Kuettner Urges Barbecued Fryers Demand
M R Kuettner of the Comfort Hatchery argues that if every American ate one barbecued fryer yearly, 120 million fryers would be needed and about 1,000,000 eggs per head would be used to produce them. He notes 12,090,000 pounds of butter or lard are required for gravy with no essential labor reduced. The Comfort Hatchery, once Comfort Sanitary Poultry Farm, began as a Texas chick shippers operation.
