Doctor Fights Dope Charge In San Antonio Trial
Dr G E Wynnte the second of several San Antonio physicians to face trial in federal court on alleged unlawful issuance of more dope prescriptions challenged the legality of agents entering his office as patients to obtain evidence. The defense cited a recent Supreme Court liquor case on entrapment and sought a jury question. Witnesses testified about morphine requests and the doctor allegedly issuing prescriptions to an addict under an assumed name. The jury was seated as the trial began with the defense opposing a nonjury verdict and other doctors expected to stand trial later. Henry J Berrodin Eagles leader to visit San Antonio Sunday.
