Hollywood Ends Year In Silly Vein
Hollywood studios wrap 1943 with lighthearted scenes as stars perform quirky stunts and on set incidents unfold. Red Skelton dances in pink tights, Ronald Colman rides a prized horse, Peter Van Eyck shills a Decker portrait, Ann Miller puzzles with a jigsaw gag, Jon Davis and Cantor spark a risqué on screen moment, and a rain shoot at 20th Century Fox delays a scene. Sydney Greenstreet struggles to pass through a coach door, prompting a wider doorway. Paramount touts a faithful San Juan Capistrano revival as a new-year flourish.
