Narrow Escape for Elevator Operator at St. Anthony Hotel

Mrs. C Evans an elevator operator at the St Anthony Hotel narrowly escaped death when caught between the elevator cage and shaft wall shortly after 7 o clock Sunday night. Firemen freed her after chopping away the lift portion. She was taken to Physicians and Surgeons Hospital where her condition Monday was reported improved. Arrest 18 Women In Vice Campaign Roundup
