Plans for a campaign to raise 9500 for San Antonio’s World Advertising convention fund were completed at the San Antonio Advertising club meeting at the St Anthony hotel. Pledge cards were given to committees, final reports were heard, and entertainment included instrumental and vocal music plus a special attendance prize.

Ford officer shot after street ambush under viaduct
A Ford military police corporal, League, was attacked by three men under the Wilson street viaduct. He was beaten and robbed of 48 dollars before one assailant fired a shot puncturing his right foot. He was taken to Base Hospital. surgeons reported the wound not serious. The attackers wore civilian clothes. one returned fire as they fled.

Four Mexicans Cited After Whiskey Disturbance Near Dance Hall
Three Mexicans with whiskey and one armed with a pistol were taken into custody by Deputy Sheriff Diaz and Sablia near Martinez. They were placed in the Bexar County jail after creating a disturbance near a dance hall.
Texas business men depart for Gulf trip aboard LaFayette
Houston February 23 The steel ship LaFayette of the French Line sailed at daybreak for a 28 day cruise of the Gulf and South Atlantic carrying more than 250 business men and their families. The trip is sponsored by the local chamber of commerce and is part of a series of trade excursions with passengers from across Texas and the interior.
