Angie Flowers, an African American woman believed to be about 100 years old, died at 317 Paso Hondo Street from an axe blow. She was brought here as a slave from Virginia in her early life and was buried this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Negro Odd Fellows' cemetery.
J T Simoms of 431 West Magnolia avenue, a traveling salesman for the Texas Moline Plow Co, was operated on for appendicitis at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital last Monday and is recovering well.
