Word was received of the death and burial in Dallas of Chester A. Achilles Jr son of Mrs Kathleen Earl Achilles formerly of San Antonio. He was part of the Brooks and Earl pioneer families of the city and is survived by an aunt Mrs Paul E Arnaud of San Antonio.

Mayor Gus Mauermann told the city council that San Antonio ap a Class 3 airport while Dallas and Fort Worth are second class. The classification hinges on an incomplete east west runway and the absence from a southern transcontinental route.
