Youth accused in attack on officers in El Paso area
A 19 year old youth, Manuel Alcala, was held in Bexar County jail after being charged with aggravated assault on police officers. Officers Richard Gareda and Yoostrosa Yoostrosa were treated for injuries after a confrontation at 3802 El Paso Street during an investigation of a earlier crash at Las Palmas and SAW 26th.

Crash Kills 2 Puts 2 Into Hospital
Two people died and two more were hospitalized after a three car crash about 7 pm Sunday on U S 80, 10 miles east of Luling. On scene at Holmes Hospital in Gonzales were Hoover Flint 41 of San Antonio and Guillermo Rodriguez 30 of Mexico City. Rodriguez s wife Laura 24 airlifted to San Antonio in critical condition at Santa Rosa Medical Center. James Fennell Jr 41 of San Antonio listed in good condition at Gonzales hospital. Released were Mack Wilson 38 of San Antonio a passenger in Fennell s car and E W Moyse 80 and his wife 73 of San Antonio plus their niece Minnis Pfeiffer 54 of Columbia Md. Flintl was a passenger in Fennell s car Rodriguez and his wife were alone in the second car.

Probation Denied for Slayer Kincaid in 1970 Murders
