Slayer Return Requested in Texas Murder Case
Governor Coke Stevenson wired Secretary of State Byrnes seeking the return of Irvin Goodspeed, 26, accused of murdering Marlin Camp, a Dallas news distributor. Goodspeed was halted in Santos, Brazil, aboard the S.S. Victory after weeks of searching, his whereabouts traced from a letter to a Beaufort girlfriend. Camp’s body, with five pistol wounds to the head, was found October 31 west of Bowie on U.S. Highway 81.
