Two Hurt in Sabinal Air Crash
Two men were severely injured when a light airplane crashed in Sabinal on a business street this afternoon. Pilot Johnny Morrisson and Pete Nelson county commissioner of Wharton county suffered head and facial injuries and were hospitalized. The plane reportedly buzzed the Twin Oaks tourist courts twice before clipping an oak, losing a wing, and crashing near Armim's Motor Inn. Firefighters guarded the wreckage, and Nelson walked to the hospital with the ambulance crew. Lon Rushing, the driver, aged no further details, said both men did not appear to be seriously hurt.
