Massive WV mine explosion devastates No 84 entrance

A severe blast at Mine No. 84 near the West Fork river wrecked the cone entrance and blasted concrete blocks weighing 1804 pounds across the river. Funeral planned for longtime San Antonio postmaster

Samuel M. Johnson 66 former San Antonio postmaster and assistant in Houston area died suddenly from heart trouble at his 137 East Mietle avenue home. Kennedy Arrested Near San Marcos After Evasion

Robert Kennedy was arrested near the Mexican hotel and the Southern Pacific depot at noon today by Constable Stevens and Deputies Wilkins and Turner after eluding officers. He is wanted in San Marcos Harris County on a charge of unlawful confinement. The sheriff holds two warrants and expects further word from San Marcos.
