Short Hours Plan Key To Nation Wide Job Aide
Washington Aug 27 A national program to aid employment through shorter hours emerged as the most significant development of the president's business conference. C. Teagle of the Harding Oil company of New Jersey says the plan will be put into effect across the land as fast as Berdeo machinery can be set up. The sub committee will supervise and coordinate the work sharing movement in 14 federal reserve districts. The Twelfth District on the Pacific coast reports success in organized campaigns to spread work by shortening hours. We have stopped layoffs and employed idle workers with a complete organization based on personal contact.
