Absentee Vote Record Set In Runoff Election
Absentee balloting in the August 26 runoff set an all time record of 724 votes. Ballots mailed and not yet tabulated, plus 628 machine votes and 98 mailed ballots, were reported by election officials as a heavy run of voters on Monday and Tuesday.
