Legion special train to state convention via Southwest Texas
Hue Aneyiegd Legion members will ride a special train from San Antonio to El Paso for the state convention on September 28 7 accotiing to Tealph Durkee a San Antonio Chamber of Commerce official Durkee arranged the rail rate and special car. Alamo Post will issue notices to posts for reservations. The train will assemble in San Antonio on September 25 and depart that evening. Transfer of prisoner: Bert Fuller petitions for removal to Corpus Christi after jail terms and a 1000 bond. Fuller was arrested on post office theft charges and will face trial in Corpus Christi.

Wounded Whitney lay dying at Robert Green Memorial Hospital Tuesday. W E Bunn of Smithville, also a railroad brakeman, is held on charges of shooting. Nine cartridges were fired as Bunn confronted Whitney. Whitney slumped after another bullet struck him in the right side.
