Bexar DA Seeks Grant to Modernize Office Operations
Bexar County would overhaul the district attorney’s office with a 2.2 million grant from the Texas Criminal Justice Council. Ted Butler and assistant John Yates propose a three year funding plan to create a specialized processing center, expand word processing, and raise assistant DA salaries to attract and retain trial lawyers. The project aims to improve efficiency, clerical processes, and the professional image of the DA office while adding a new specialized crime section.
