Briscoe May Visit Europe
The Light’s Austin Bureau reports Governor Briscoe’s planned trade mission to Japan may be followed by a Europe trip later this year. Dallas Chamber official Ralph Young says organizers hope to meet Japanese leaders and attract investment for Texas, with a full schedule in Tokyo and Osaka and receptions. Briscoe’s party, including state officials and business reps, sails August 31 returning September 8, with brief Hawaii stops.
