SEEK BODIES FROM FERRY SINKAGE NEAR WESTMORELAND HAMPSHIRE
In Westmoreland New Hampshire on August 18 divers searched the Connecticut River for four bodies from a sunken flat bottom ferry. The drowned were Ray Austin 50 and his wife with their infant, a Muslin family boarder William Clark, and a second auto occupant a foot passenger. The ferry tipped due to uneven weight as two cars crossed. The operator, a 75 year old, escaped with the rescue boat. A corrections officer helped at the scene.
