Air Corps officer dies in Kelly Field crash
Second Lieutenant Hapson, 24, student officer, was killed when his Seversky BT 1 crashed two miles northwest of Camp Bullis while en route from Abilene to Kelly Field. Witnesses said the plane went into a spin and fell. Hapson, a West Point graduate, was due to graduate at Kelly Field August 25. Funeral arrangements are pending at Kelly Field.

Flood leaves Prattville man dead in torrential rains
